What makes your cards eco friendly?
There are a variety of factors that make our cards eco friendly
- Paper – fsc certified [chain of custody] recycled stock
- Ink – we use environmentally friendly inks:
Vegetable inks on quantities of 250 cards and above
Eco-Friendly toners on qualities below 250 cards - Printer – our printing facility adheres to environmentally friendly practices, is FSC certified and powered by 100% wind power.

- Season's Greenings Company – we adhere to good social and environmental practices – [see FAQ for more info]
- Plant a tree for every order – your card order uses less than 1 /1000th of a tree, so planting a tree for every order helps replenish our natural resources!
What type of paper are the cards printed on?
Our stock is FSC certified [chain of custody] stock with 60% recycled pre-consumer waste pulp and the remaining 40% from sustainable managed tree plantations.
Are recycled cards the same quality as regular holiday cards?
We are very proud to offer high quality cards. The paper stock is the same quality you would expect from a high end card company. The eco friendly inks and toners used produce very vibrant colors. Our printer uses Heidelberg presses favored by art directors for quantities of 250 and above; we use quality digital printers for smaller quantities.
We put the recycled content and the FSC certificate on the back of the card, because otherwise you could mistake them for regular high end greeting cards.

They are printed in the Northwestern U.S.
Can your cards be recycled?
Yes, all our stocks, inks and coatings are environmentally friendly and safe.
What can I do with my extra cards?
We recognize that you many not use the exact number of cards you order, so here are a few ideas for what to do with extra cards:
- Save and use next year – our cards never go out of fashion
- Use as a gift tag [cut off back of card]
- Share the holiday cheer – send a card to someone who may not have family with them for the holidays such as a local nursing home, hospital, or the troops overseas
- Use the card to create a small gift box
- Recycle

Who is Plain Jane's Season’s Greenings – I have never heard of them?
Plain Jane's Season's Greenings is a product line of Jane Tabachnick::Marketing under their Stand For Green™ umbrella.
The Jane Tabachnick::Marketing group works with creative professionals and green businesses providing marketing mentoring and DIY [do it yourself marketing tools]. They have been in business for over 6 years; the Stand For Green and Season's Greenings brands were launched in 2007.

Where do you plant trees?
We support the Nature Conservancy Program in the Atlantic Forest of Brazil. This forest, originally 330 million acres (about twice the size of Texas), is down to 7% of its original size and the remaining Forest is still among the biologically richest and diverse forests in the world and exhibits a high number of species that can be found nowhere else on Earth. Despite its diminished state, the Atlantic Forest still ranks as a global conservation priority.

Yes, most of our designs were commissioned just for our Season's Greenings cards. We are very proud of the selection, and love working with the artists!

FSC – Forest Stewardship Council www.fsc.org is an international organization that regulates good forestry practices, certifies printers as adhering to set environmental policies, as well as providing chain of custody documentation for trees and paper.
